Ayr Intimate Opera 1972 - 1983 ~ Twelve Years of Performance

Ayr Intimate Opera ~ 1972 - 1983

Over a period of 30 years Ayr Intimate Opera (and its successors) presented quality music in and around Ayr.    The Group in the Ayr Intimate Opera format, as successor to the Arran Choir, was active from 1972 until the death of the company producer, Bill Grierson in 1984.  After early productions in the theatre at Craigie College, the company restored the stage facilities at Ayr Pavilion.  This theatre was the main venue for Ayr Intimate Opera productions after 1974.
